Summer in Stockholm
Stockholm is truly a summer city. Here one find an amount of parks and green areas in the middle of the city area. Built upon 14 islands Stockholm offers a lot of water just perfect for recreation, swimming, for the beautiful view and for long walks along any of all our boardwalks.
Worth visiting at summer
Gröna lund, Stockholm’s amusement park since 1883. Open some days during May and every day from July until August. In September they have sporadically open.
Gröna lund have one excellent live scene where everything from major to local artists performs and they have a well filled program during the summer with something suitable for pretty much every taste. Just make sure to be there in time on days when popular artists performs as it attracts a lot of people and they often closes the gates early.

Skansen, a Sweden in miniature. Seeing Skansen as only a Zoo will make one miss a lot of it’s charm and our Swedish culture. Skansen have a great location on Djurgården and have collected typical and historical buildings from all over Sweden. And not only that. These buildings is used as a living museum where one can get a glimpse of how Scandinavians used to live. One can visit a traditional fäbod or why not a see glassblowers in action?

The Royal Palace is a must for first time visitors. No matter if just wanting to go there for seeing the Royal guards, take a selfie or for visiting any of those museeums residing there. One can also get guided tours throughout the castle.

The ABBA museum. What would Sweden be without ABBA? A lot more boring when it comes to music! This world famous pop group that haven’t been performing since early 80th isn’t possible to experiences better that through this museum dedicated all to ABBA.

Visiting Trädgården (the garden) is a must if you visit Stockholm in the summer. It is a popular outdoor club right under the Skanstull bright in Södermalm, just a stone’s throw from the hostel. See live performances, dance, play table tennis or why not boules all night long. Remember to come early to avoid the queue!
